About Me

I am passionate about my work and genuinely care about my clients. My aim is for you to experience warmth, empathy and unconditional acceptance in the private space of my therapy room. Through a therapeutic relationship based on safety and trust, insights are gained, issues processed, and therapeutic goals accomplished.

I have wide-ranging knowledge of dealing with multiple issues, including clinical experience through collaborations with mental health professionals at many government and private hospitals. I am proficient in assessing and treating various mental health disorders, including mood and anxiety disorders.

I received my B.Soc.Sc (1991), B.Soc.Sc. Hons. (1992) and M.Soc.Sc. Clinical Psychology (1995) at the University of the Free State. I became a certified Jungian analyst in 2019 after undertaking a comprehensive and demanding post-graduate training of four years through the Southern African Association of Jungian Analysts (SAAJA), an institute approved by the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). As part of this training programme, I was required to undergo an extensive, personal analysis with a Jungian therapist. I work within the profession’s strict guidelines and am committed to my professional growth and keeping up-to-date with significant new advancements in my field.

I maintain an independent private practice working online with clients in South Africa and overseas, as well as in-person sessions at my therapy rooms in Greenpoint, Cape Town. I am bilingual, and speak English and Afrikaans. It is an incredible privilege to walk alongside you as you venture on the road towards self-discovery and personal growth.
